You’ve endured countless troubles – all from not letting ruling reason do the work it was made for – enough already!– Marcus Aurelius, Meditations, 9l.25
As an innovator we always take new roads. Or we create new paths. This takes courage and sometimes we are afraid to take these steps. Afraid of what other people will think of us. Afraid of the consequences. But how many things you fear have actually come to pass? Don’t let fear, jealousy, frustration or greed lead you down to a bad road. Use your gut to feel but let data & reason determine your next step.
Letting your reason rule the day can save us quite a bit of trouble. Don’t worry our brain was designed to do this work: separate what is important from what is senseless. Keep things in perspective, to only become troubled by that which is worth becoming troubled about. So feel your gut and put your brain to use!
